Gwyneth MacDonald, Company DirectorMy early "career" was in health. I have a B.Sc in Healthcare and am a qualified nurse and midwife. Since leaving midwifery in 1997 I have worked in sexual health services in a therapeutic role, for the last two years as a NHS Counselling manager. My postgraduate training in counselling was in the person centred approach and have now been counselling for more than 14 years. I am also a qualified counselling supervisor, having completed supervision training with PCT Scotland in 2004.
As well as being an accredited COSCA Trainer in Counselling Skills, I am also a member of the training team on the postgraduate diploma in counselling at Strathclyde University.
I have an interest and expertise in sexuality and relationship counselling, and in working with survivors of sexual assault and abuse. I currently divide my time between a Counselling Manager Role in Sexual Health Services for Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health board and Counselling & Training within GMG Associates.
